Shruti Saini is a Project Manager at YouWeCan Foundation. Her curious mind, and love for learning drives her to work at YouWeCan Foundation. She has accomplished a Masters in Social Work from IGNOU — and looks forward to apply her learnings at the Foundation.

Ans. Sincere, Honest, Concise

 

Ques. What is your comfort food?

Ans. Chocolate truffle cake

 

Ques. If a movie was made about your life, what would it be?

Ans. Yet to see such a movie

 

Ques. If you could travel to any part of the world, where would you go and why?

Ans. Would like to see all of India, even places where there is no electricity. Because our country is dynamic and knowing how people live in different parts of the country is what interests me.

 

Ques. What are 3 words to describe working at YWC?

Ans. Supportive, Engaging, Challenging

 

Ques. What motivates you to do what you do?

Ans. My passion for understanding and helping people is what drives me to work in social sector.

 

Ques. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Ans. Never argue with fools.

 

Ques. A special memory from your time spent with the YWC family?

Ans. Our event of employee engagement at PGICH, Noida with Pediatric Cancer Patients (our little warriors). The magic show was FUN!!

 

Ques. What has living in a pandemic taught you?

Ans. Immunity and health are the most important things in life. If I eat home-cooked food only, I can lose weight very easily and of course Zoom meetings.

Ans. I would love to go to Spain because of its easy-going culture, delicious food and stunning scenery.

Ans. Team work, Motivating, Supportive

 

Ques. What motivates you to do what you do?

Ans. Helping others and empowering people is what motivates me the most. It doesn’t matter whether it is a colleague, friend or anyone else. There are times when the people around your need that extra drive to get going. I relish the opportunity to reach out to such people. It gives me a sense of confidence and belief that I can be of some help.

 

Ques. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Ans. Never give up.

 

Ques. A special memory from your time spent with the YWC family?

Ans. Playing Cricket in the office

 

Ques. What has living in a pandemic taught you?

Ans. I’ve learned to live with the bare minimum, comfortable with what I already have. Lockdown has taught me what is truly valuable in life. It’s given me an opportunity to slow down in this fast-changing world and to appreciate what truly matters: friends, family, and the connections I’ve made over the course of my life.
