A camp was organized on the campus of Shoolini University under the leadership of Mrs. Poonam Nanda on 3rd October 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Health Centre. Facilities available for the teaching staff and the auxiliary staff included oral cancer detection, oral health checkup, breast cancer check-up through iBreastExam Machine, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, pulse rate and blood pressure measurement.

A total number of 199 were patients screened out of whom 105 were females attendees and 94 were males attendees. The age of patients screened ranged from 18 to 63 years. All 199 male and female patients went through medical check-up and 95 female patients were screened for breast cancer through iBreastExam Machine.

Dental check-up revealed that 33 patients had a good oral hygiene. Others required dental treatment for various reasons like chronic generalized gingivitis, localized periodontitis, carious teeth, mobile teeth and prosthodontic rehabilitation for missing teeth. On oral cancer detection, 1 patient was diagnosed with oral submucous fibrosis, rest all were healthy with no gross abnormalities. All patients were given health education regarding the correct method of brushing teeth and tobacco cessation advice was given to all users. IEC material in the form of pamphlets was distributed to all regarding oral cancer, breast cancer and harmful effects of tobacco use. Women were educated about the most common symptoms regarding Breast Cancer.

On the second day, a health camp was organized at Share and Care Old Age Recreational Centre, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh, India under the leadership of Mrs. Poonam Nanda from 10 am to 2.30 pm. A total number of 48 were patients screened out of whom 31 were females attendees and 17 were males attendees. The age of patients screened ranged from 43- 97 years with an average age of around 60 years. On breast health screening, one woman was found to be positive otherwise all woman had no symptoms and on examination with iBreastExam Machine and were found to be healthy.

On the same day, 4th October, a talk was presented to the undergraduate students of SILB, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh by Dr. Sumedha from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm and Dr. Nganba performed an experiment for the students to extract tar out of a cigarette. The talk emphasized on the various types of drugs available, signs and symptoms of drug abuse and coping mechanisms when in need. The talk was attended by around 300 students. A health camp was organized at SILB Institute, Solan District, Himachal Pradesh, India under the leadership of Mrs. Poonam Nanda on the same day from 4.15 pm to 5.30 pm. 20 women staff members attended the camp and none were found positive on breast cancer detection and oral hygiene was good.
Doctors present at the Camp included Dr. Nganba Khundrapam, Dr. Sagar Chawla and Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha. Two staff members of UE LifeSciences India Pvt Ltd attending the camp were Ms. Rinki and Ms. Radhika.
