Yuvraj Singh Foundation organized a health camp on the occasion of World Cancer Day. The camp was conducted at a community based setting at Kumar Hati, Himachal Pradesh from 10 am onwards. The patients were checked for their blood pressure, height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), dental conditions, pulse oximeter and body temperature. Oral cancer screening was conducted through Toludiene Blue Staining and breast cancer through iBreastExam machine.
The results were out immediately in which 12 patients reported of higher blood pressure. Moreover, 4 patients had a temperature above the normal range and 6 patients had pre-cancerous lesions in the mouth due to tobacco consumption and smoking. 3 women were tested positive on iBreastExam machine.
The camp was attended by 2 doctors and 2 paramedical staff members along with volunteers.
The event was followed by a Walkathon which aimed at promoting cancer awareness, wherein more than 100 people joined in the walk.
