A cancer awareness camp was organised by Yuvraj Singh Foundation at H.L. Public School, Sector-58, Noida on February 22, 2015, from 10.30 am to 2.00 pm.

The aim of the event was to provide an insight into prevention, causation and treatment of cancer affecting various body parts. A special session was taken on lifestyle enhancement techniques like tobacco and alcohol cessation, improvement of nutrition, daily exercise and positive thinking. Participants actively took part in the session by asking general questions about health which doctors enthusiastically answered. Tobacco cessation was carried out for 10 men at the end of the session, in which they were prescribed medication, counseling and advice to quit.

The speakers at the event included Mrs. Rekha Gulabani, Dr. Sumedha Kushwaha, Dr. Vaibhav and Dr. Kh Nganba. The camp was attented by around 80 members who resided in the vicinity including children and women. Approximately 70 men (85%) and 10 women (15%) attended the camp.

At the end of the session, snacks were distributed to all attendees by YouWeCan volunteers.
