Civil Hospital Rohru

Rohru is a small town located 115 kms from Shimla. For any healthcare emergencies, the residents have only two options: they either go to the Civil Hospital in Rohru or travel to Shimla.

Dr. Ravindra Mukhia, CMO, Civil Hospital Rohru, along with his enthusiastic and supportive team of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, was making his best effort to provide quality and timely services to the residents of Rohru ever since COVID-19 cases emerged in the area.However, during the second wave of the pandemic, the beds and facilities were seeming short to admit everyone requiring oxygen support.

Based on a reference from Mr. Pramod Mahanta, Managing Director, Payback India, we reached out to Dr. Mukhia to enquire if our Foundation could be of any help to his hospital and in turn the citizens of Rohru. He welcomed our support and after a thorough need assessment, a 5-bedded Critical Care Unit was set up at the hospital. Moreover, 600 PPE Kits were handed over to them.

 The facility was handed over to the hospital authorities on June 12, 2021.

A total of 230 patients have benefited so far at this facility.
