November being lung cancer awareness month, team YouWeCan came up with an idea to sensitize their workplace with creative posters on tobacco cessation. The witty and enlightening posters were made by students of Shoolini University Solan and were put up in the ALTF building premises.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths around the globe. Though lung cancer is common, many people don’t know much about it or are inclined to get the correct information about it. Lung cancer can go undiagnosed for a long time because symptoms usually do not appear until the cancer has spread.

Smoking is not only the major cause of lung cancer but can cause cancer almost anywhere in the body. Cigarette smoking causes cancer of the mouth and throat, oesophagus, stomach, colon, rectum, liver, pancreas, voice box (larynx), trachea, bronchus, kidney and renal pelvis, urinary bladder, and cervix, and causes acute myeloid leukaemia.

YouWeCan believes in taking all necessary steps no matter big or small to spread awareness related to cancer. The team strongly believes in the thought that small steps lead to great results. All we aim for is an India empowered to defeat cancer.
