Dr. Sumedha has been working with YouWeCan Foundation, very closely since 2014 in various capacities. She completed her BDS and MDS from ITS Dental College in India and is pursuing her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Her passion for working to raise the standards of public health in Low and Middle-Income Countries; especially India drives her to move forward.

Q6. What motivates you to do what you do?
Ans. Since childhood, I was greatly influenced by Mother Teresa. My parents helped me understand the importance of being a good human being, kind, and compassionate before anything else. Helping others gives me a high.
Q7. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Ans. Don’t speak until it’s required.
Ans. I have had a blast with nearly all team members. But I guess, spending time with Poonam Mam and Arvind Sir at their residence in Shoolini, was the sweetest of all.
Ans. That distance doesn’t matter.
Dr. Purnima is the project manager at the YouWeCan Foundation. She is a graduate in dental surgery and a Post Graduate in public health. She aims to bring a great attitude and willingness to take any task for the growth of the organisation. Her intention to learn and get better each day drives her to move ahead.

Ans. It’s not even been a month but yes, there is a memory I shared with Dr. Himangi and Byju. This day we went to look for an office in Noida. Byju did not know which way to go but he was leading us in the wrong direction with immense confidence and a super fun way and of course, the teamwork which we did to help each other while walking for a quite long time was a great memory.
