Warren Buffett’s reputation precedes him — American business magnate, billionaire-investor and philanthropist. One of his lesser-known victories, is his battle against prostate cancer. When Buffett got diagnosed with prostrate cancer 8 years ago, the cancer was in the early stages of development, and thus deemed not life-threatening. Catching the disease early helped Buffet’s successful outcome. After his diagnosis in April 2012, he was treated with radiation therapy — which saved his life. His is a battle that highlights the need for early screenings, and the urgency of early detection. At 90 years, Buffett continues to take charge at work, in perfect and healthy conditions.
