P.B.M. Hospital - Bikaner
While doing a need assessment in Rajasthan during the initial phase of Mission 1000 Beds initiative, we realized that the active cases were increasing rapidly in Bikaner, because of which the existing hospital infrastructure in the city was overburdened.
We reached out to the biggest medical college in Bikaner and were informed about an urgent need for additional critical care beds at PBM Hospital Bikaner. This hospital was not just designated as a COVID-19 hospital for Bikaner but was also catering to people of neighboring districts, covering a population of around 30 lakhs.
After a discussion with the hospital’s Management and looking at the space and manpower, we decided to set up a 100-bedded critical care facility at PBM Hospital Bikaner.
Once the facility was up and running, we received another request from the hospital for additional equipment, which was required for the benefit of the COVID-19 patients admitted at the facility. We immediately sprung into action and provided the necessary support.
The facility was handed over to the hospital authorities on June 30, 2021 while the additional equipment was handed over on January 5, 2022.
A total of 6490 patients have benefited so far at this facility.
